- Description
- My Bicester based client, who manufacture specialist products for the protection and decoration of surfaces, are expanding their workforce and premises. As such, I am looking for a new Production Operative to join their team.
You will be working via Equation Recruitment on a temporary basis to begin with. However, being accepted as a permanent member of the team will depend on your commitment and ability to carry out the role.
You will be responsible for the accurate production of solutions, which require a keen eye for detail due to the specification of the products and chemicals used. (All PPE provided). You must also be physically fit, as raw materials and finished products are stored in large quantities, sometimes in excess of 25kg.
Responsibilities of the role:
*Working from a "batch sheet" i.e. ingredient list, to identify what chemicals/ solutions are required for production
*Weighing small and large quantities, accurately
*Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to remove pallets from racking, to gather raw materials for production. (Ideally you will already have a Counterbalance Forklift licence, but this is not essential)
*To produce the finished product by following strict instructions, ensuring that raw materials are added in order in the correct quantities
*Loading solutions into vats
*Operating a mixing machine
*Filling product into varying sized pails - this can be through an automated filling machine, but also manually
*Cleaning the vat once the solution has been produced
*Assisting in the warehouse as and when required
*Picking and packing
*Wrapping pallets
This position offers a 37.5 hour working week, from Monday to Friday, however, overtime is available during the spring/ summer on Saturdays, paid at time and a half, which will increase your weekly pay.
The company will be introducing 2 shifts, which are likely to be 06:00- 14:00/ 10:00- 18:00. This is yet to be finalised. However, the latest time anyone will be working until is 20:00.
45-minute lunch and a x2 15-minute breaks - 1x 15 mins paid.
£9.21 per hour.
