- Description
- My reputable client, based in Upper Heyford are looking for a Stores Person to join their team on a permanent basis.
You will be responsible for the organisation of all raw materials, sub-assemblies and finished goods. This role also includes an element of assembly. You will sometimes be required to prepare kits of materials, components and sub- assemblies.
Main duties include:
*Stock management
*Purchasing materials
*Placing stock requisitions for all stock leaving the stores
*Keeping all records up to date
*To make sure all materials are clearly labelled and stored correctly
*To keep waste to an absolute minimum, in line with department guidelines
*Supporting monthly stock takes
*Communicate with the Production Planner regarding stock shortages and any unavailable items
*Goods in
*Ensure all delivered materials comply with purchase orders, are in good condition and come with all of the correct paperwork
*Escalate any issues in terms of goods in
*Goods out
*Working with other departments to ensure that customers' orders are packed and dispatched on time, in full with all of the correct documentation
*Coordinate with the couriers to make sure all customer orders are collected on time
*Complete administrative duties in relation to the purchasing system
*Support other team members during busy periods to make sure that tasks are completed on time
*To keep all areas clean and tidy at all times in accordance with health and safety regulations
*Maintain security of stores and follow key procedures
*Follow the companies PAT testing procedures
You will need to have access to your own transport, due to the location of the business. You must also be IT literate to be considered for the role.
