- Description
- Due to internal movement our Brackley based client is now seeking to recruit a Labour Planner/Scheduler into their growing business. This role requires a lot of high attention to detail with data and it is essential you will be experienced with MS Excel to intermediate/advanced level.
You will be managing the allocation of site staff, ensuring that the correct staff (numbers and proficiency) and time scales are appropriate for projects. Work closely with Project Coordinators, other CBU Planners and Transport Planners.
Main duties and responsibilities:
*Weekly production and distribution of labour/personnel planning to site staff and other staff as necessary
*Daily amendments to personnel planning for holidays, sickness, site visits, kick off meetings etc.
*Real time monitoring of labour on projects
*Maintain and monitor Working Time Directive for all site staff
*Daily update to site crews of planning changes
*Daily monitoring of 8-week overview rented m²- producing and planning accordingly
*Maintaining an overview plan of all projects for the year ahead.
*Weekly look forward through overview rented m² to prepare long term planning
*Weekly collation of emailed project changes and cancellations
*Checking labour invoices against actual
*Raising purchase orders
*Liaison with Local Planners in overseas offices to consider options for crews to be utilised for projects originating in other countries
*Liaising with Material and Transport Planners to maintain integrated planning
*Travel/accommodation arrangements, including visa applications for site crew
*Procure and book training for all site crew
*Member of the Weekend/Out of Hours on Call Rota
*Procurement of specific equipment and third-party goods/services as requested by Services Manager or site staff
*Assist Services Manager as required
Employee Profile (not in priority order):
*Excellent knowledge of Excel and good knowledge of other MS Office Applications
*Some experience of SAP would be useful but not essential
*Good communication skills (both verbal and written) at all levels
*Capable of maintaining professional standards, positive attitude under pressure
*Empathy with both Sales/Project Coordinators, Logistics, and Site functions
*Must have an excellent attention to detail
This at times is a vary busy, challenging and pressurised role. It will at times require you to be firm with personnel to ensure tasks are completed as well as lots of data-based work on MS Excel and SAP. You will need to have a logical mind, as well as a creative character.
