- Company based just 16 miles outside of Cheltenham, seek a new Production Operative to join their expanding team on a permanent basis.
The organisation pride themselves on their carefully engineered and beautifully designed products, which are manufactured to the highest standards. You will be responsible for the manufacture of bespoke, high-quality items, in accordance with standard operating procedures.
Main Responsibilities;
*Manufacturing products, in line with targets and deadlines set by the company, to ensure accurate and timely delivery to our customers.
*Working to schedule, agreed operating and quality standards.
*To actively participate in Process Engineering and the Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental teams/systems to achieve optimum process flow and adherence to lead time.
*Operating machinery used to manufacture products.
*Daily maintenance of all machines, equipment and facilities.
*Keeping management informed about non-conformity or anything deemed to be outside of agreed standards.
*Working overtime as and when required to achieve output.
*To attend and contribute to daily production meetings.
*Working in-line with LEAN improvement programmes and activities
*Recommending changes to the process, to increase efficiency and output.
*Working towards continuous improvement.
Desired attributes/ skills:
*A background in manufacturing (Minimum of 5 years, preferable)
*Good written and verbal communication skills.
*Strong teamworking skills
*The ability to organise and plan the use of your own time, effectively and efficiently in line with agreed schedules.
*Basic IT Skills (MS Office 2000, Word, Excel & Outlook)
Working days/ hours:
37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 08:00am to 16.30. This includes a 30-minute lunch break and X2, 15-minute breaks).
Annual salary: £22,000
