- I am currently recruiting for an experienced Quality Assurance Coordinator, preferably with a background in food manufacturing in a high care/high risk environment within a Technical function
The company are very new to Bicester and are looking to employ a Quality Assurance Coordinator on a permanent basis. (Temp to perm will also be considered if you are immediately available).
Salary: £25,000 per annum
Working hours: 42.5 hours per week.
(Must be open to early starts (06:00), be flexible with regards to start and finish times, and be available to carry out overtime when required at short notice).
The individual will report to the Quality Assurance Manager and be responsible for coordinating all Quality Assurance tasks in internal auditing systems listed below.
*GMP
*GHP & Hygiene audits
*Customer COP compliance
*3rd party accreditation compliance
*Audit preparation
*Continual assessment and improvement of manufacturing standards on site
*Fabric/Flow/Control
*Coordinate pest control visits and corrective action close-outs
*Act as deputy to the Quality Assurance Manager
Responsibilities of the role
*Ensuring the site is audit ready at any time and to assist with external, 3rd party, customer, BRC audits
*Carry out internal audits and corrective action close outs
*Effectively communicate quality issues or changes to standards, across all departments
*Training of technical procedures within the business
*Working with quality and production functions, driving improvement and compliance to customer and BRC standards
*Drive improvements to GMP standards and process adherence through GMP audits
*ATP Swabs
*Daily and weekly Scale calibration, thermometer / probe calibrations, Oxybabies and cleaning/sanitising chemicals
*Knife Integrity checks
*Collect samples from each batch, both log and sliced for micro and taste panel, retained samples and store chilled or frozen as appropriate
*Check sleeves, labels, printed film - complete records
*Collect finished paperwork for the day's production
*CCP1 CCP2 Slicing temperature timings Temperature checks - every 15 minutes
*Finished product packing, metal detecting CCP3
*Freezer temperature
*QCP checks of recipes
*QAS check on product and taste panel
*Collect completed paperwork for production daily
*Compile staff rota for QA team
*Set up texture meter, carry out raw material and finished product texture checks
*Review and sign off paperwork from the previous day
*Put samples on to ALS system
Essential skills/qualifications
*Good level of numeracy & literacy skills
*Good communication skills
*Proficient in Excel & Word
*Level 3 HACCP
*Level 3 Food Safety & Hygiene
*Essential Hygiene and chemical awareness
*Experience of working in a high care/high risk food manufacturing environment within a Technical function
*Understanding of hygiene standards and GMP in food manufacturing
*Understanding of Health and safety issues related to all areas of a food production facility
Ideally, you will have experience in the food manufacturing sector/FMCG. However, this is not essential.
