Mechanical Technician - Workshop Mechanic – Join a Leading Engineering Manufacturer

Are you a skilled Workshop Mechanic with a passion for engineering and precision work? Our client is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable individual to join their Production team, supporting the assembly, build and testing of high-quality engines and components.

What You’ll Be Doing as the Mechanical Technician

  • Assemble, build, repair and modify engines and components to exact specifications.
  • Carry out mechanical builds, testing and inspections in line with company standards.
  • Support continuous improvement by suggesting process and cost-saving improvements.
  • Work collaboratively with workshop teams, quality, sales, and R&D staff.
  • Maintain accurate job records and ensure all work meets quality and safety standards.
  • Keep your workspace organised, safe, and compliant with company health & safety policies.

 

What they’re Looking For in the Mechanical Technician.

  • Completed Level 3 Apprenticeship in Engineering (or equivalent qualification).
  • Previous experience in a production or workshop environment.
  • Practical knowledge of 2 and 4-stroke engines (petrol & diesel).
  • Familiarity with marine engines is beneficial (training provided).
  • Good understanding of health & safety regulations.
  • IT literacy for recording test data and job tracking.
  • Strong teamwork, communication, and time management skills.
