- Description
- Due to growth in the company we are looking to recruit a Workshop Manager for our client in Oxfordshire.
This is a forward-thinking company in the organic waste and renewable energy sector.
This position requires some UK travel.
Your main responsibilities will be:
*Leading, motivating and guiding workshop staff
*Managing a maintenance team
*Work closely with the Operations Manager and Site Managers
*Source all parts and components needed for the workshop
*Develop and ensure the delivery of planned maintenance schedules and routines
*Planning and prioritisation of the Workshop workload
*Create weekly targets and efficiency reports for the Operations Manager
*Ensure all H&S is adhered to and implemented
*Be a hand-on Fitter / Engineer with a can-do attitude
*Create Risk Assessments, Method Statements, Permits to Work and Lifting Plans
*Manage the Workshop stock level
*Monitor and develop Workshop KPI's
Essential skills, qualifications and experience
*Qualified Fitter/Engineer
*H&S qualification, ideally Nebosh
*CPCS - Appointed person certificate
*Lift supervisor/slinger signaller qualification
*Confined space trained
*Experienced with the use of breathing apparatus
*Cherry Picker/Scissor lift certified
*Effective communicator
*Understanding of Workshop practices
*Competent in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
*Full UK Driving License
Desirable experience and knowledge
*Health & Safety Legislation
*Risk Assessments, Method Statements
*Ability to produce and deliver team tool box talks
*Permit to Work/Lock off processes
*Business Management Systems
*Lift Supervisor/appointed persons' duties/crane co - coordinator - creating lifting plans, etc. (Advantageous)
*Use of Breathing Apparatus (Advantageous)
