- Our Buckingham based client are looking for a Technical Buyer to join their team. This is a full time permanent role with and excellent salary
Accountabilities:
*Working with Production & Engineering to ensure product costing and supply match the business needs.
*Manage and continuously review the P/O System to ensure it is accurate, up to date and consistently meets the requirements of the business.
*Processing of Purchasing Orders ensuring ownership and responsible throughout the process until goods / services received and inspected.
*Purchase materials in line with on time in full delivery to meet production requirements.
*Communication of forecasts and purchase orders to suppliers.
*Assist with regular re-negotiations of terms of business/service agreements and performance
*Evaluation with suppliers, taking corrective action as required.
*Identify and deliver cost savings without compromising quality or delivery.
*Monitor, report on and improve supplier performance, take action where required (KPI's).
*Liaison with internal departments to ensure the effective sourcing, procurement and costings of new to range products.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience:
*Purchasing experience within a Manufacturing Environment is essential.
*Varied exposure to a range of Suppliers & Commodities.
*Engineering background and ability to read engineering drawings is essential.
*Track record showing strong negotiating and effective communication skills.
*Purchasing qualification would be desirable.
*Flexibility - requirement to work additional hours dependent on business needs
