- Description
- My client is a world leader in design, development and manufacture of mobility products and they are looking to welcome a new Technical Assembler on a permanent basis into their team.
You will be responsible for the assembly of various parts or of whole products. You will need to be able to read and follow instructions, templates and blueprints and be able to understand measurements. You will be provided with full in-house training in technical assembly and will ultimately be able to complete all tasks in the assembly process and work well within a team of assemblers.
Responsibilities include
*Following instructions, blueprints and part lists to assemble products
*Gathering parts, tools, materials and subassemblies
*Reading measurements
*Assembly of components by studying connections for the correct fit, fastening parts and subassemblies
*Verify specifications by measuring completed component
*Resolve any issues regarding assembly by altering dimensions to meet specifications
*Notify a supervisor if additional resources are required
*Complete preventative maintenance requirements to keep equipment operational
*Trouble shooting malfunctions
*Calling for repairs
*Maintain a clean and safe working environment by following procedures, rules and regulations
*Maintain the supplies inventory by checking stock, proactively managing any need for parts
*Placing and expediting orders and verifying receipt of supplies
*Complete production and quality forms
*Taking internal and external calls from customers and colleagues to assist with technical queries, reducing the need for product returns
*Diagnosing and repairing faults on either returned products to any that may have been rejected during pre- delivery inspection (PDI)
*Carry out pre-delivery inspections
*Make sure that any product that has been returned is labelled with an allocated job number.
*Develop product knowledge and skills
*Have good customer service skills, be helpful and a good telephone manner
*Participate in all internal training
*Liaise with the Technical Supervisors to clarify faults
*Keep your work area clean and tidy at all times
