- A company based in the heart of Bicester, established since the early 1980's, are seeking a driven, dynamic and experienced Production Manager to join their organisation on a permanent basis.
They are a UK based specialist of lightweight material, finishing and bonding solutions, who's customer base exists in industries such as automotive, aerospace, medical and a variety of Industrial Markets.
Ideally, you will have experience within manufacturing and have a minimum of 3-5 years' recent experience working as a Production Manager. This is essential, as you will already have an understanding of the hands-on aspect of the role, production planning and logistics functions. Any knowledge of LEAN principles would also be advantageous. Ideally, you will have a University Degree or higher education/ NVQ Level 3, preferably in business, as you will be expected to carry out business analysis planning long term and contributing towards increasing profitability. A good level of Mathematics is advantageous as you will be required to analyse complex data. For the right person, progression is possible. Someone eventually looking at progressing into Operations Management would be ideal for the role.
Main duties/ responsibilities:
Overseeing manufacturing processes, ensuring reliability and efficiency
Planning and organising production schedules
Supervision of the production team
Shift planning
Making quick, high level decisions
Estimating and agreeing budgets and timescales with clients
Maintain quality standards
Ensure that health and safety guidelines are followed
Follow LEAN principles
