- Description
- We are looking for a Maintenance Shift Technician to join our Bicester based client. This is a full time (40 hours per week) 6 month contract position working on the early shift 6am - 2.30pm.
Main responsibilities for this role include:
Preventative Maintenance
Shop floor service within production to prevent loss in utilisation and yield production, by performing regular planned preventative maintenance service on production equipment to prevent breakdowns within production.
Maintenance Repair
Perform first aid and repair service with production equipment to prevent breakdowns or minimise the down time as much as possible.
Being able to work within a team or alone to fault find and able to use initiative to rectify or report any faults and issues picked up on routine preventative maintenance.
Carry out planned maintenance and assist repair services from third parties (suppliers of equipment) with their maintenance work.
Ensure good housekeeping at all times, keeping the work area free of rubbish and ensure a safe working environment.
Provide a comprehensive handover between shifts and engineering supervisor(s).
Key Requirements
*Experience of working within the food industry desirable
*Working knowledge of SAP an advantage
*Strong analytical skills underpinned by innovative thinking
*Ability to balance multiple priorities successfully
*Ability to communicate, network, engage and influence people across the site
*Knowledge of managing complex plant and engineering resources within a manufacturing environment
