- Description
- We are looking for a Senior Quality Technician to join a food manufacturing company in Bicester.
To be considered for this role you will have;
*Food Science degree, or equivalent qualification
*Minimum of 5 years' experience in a food manufacturing business, with at least 2 years proven experience in a senior Quality Assistant or Supervisory role
*Experience in UK retailed and to have an understanding of Customer Codes of Practice, specific certification requirements e.g. RSPO, HALAAL, BRC requirements
*Internal auditing qualification
*Level 3 Food Safety and HACCP, level 2 as a minimum
*Excellent communication skills
*Influencing and negotiation skills to ensure change
*Determination to see a task through to the end, and challenge barriers
*Self-motivated and excellent time management
*Knowledge of standard software systems
*Strong organisational skills
You will be responsible for;
*Completing compliance audits and inspections;
*Work with other departments to investigate any failures, assist with problem solving and promoting long term solutions to issues found
*Drive high standards of GMP
*Highlight any areas which are likely to compromise food safety integrity to the Technical Manager and Quality Systems Manager
*Promote training and support staff development
*Stand in for the Quality Systems Manager during absence
*Assist the Quality Systems Manager in ensuring department objectives are being completed
*Work with the technical department on risk assessments
*Prepare and present technical reports
*Establish and maintain co-operative internal working relationships
*Complete quality system documentation accurately, in time and in full
*Support all trials carried out, and contributed towards the setting of appropriate quality standings and the QAS
*Create instructions for new products and amend them for existing products as required
*Manage sit Calibration schedule
